Book Thief Prediction

I predict that Leisel will become a stronger person while this time of the Holocaust. First of all because she will learn to appreciate everything she has, and she will be good with her foster parents. Second because all the books she's been stealing will strengthen her knowledge. (Even though she barely knows how to read.) I think she will share these books with others living in hiding too. At the end I expect Leisel dies, because in the prologue Death said he saw her only 3 times..so why not a fourth? The answer is because that was the last time she was alive. Death sees people for last time until they're dead. As well, I predict that Leisel will reunite with her real mother before she dies, so she can have her happy moment with her mom. I also believe that maybe she will get to meet her father or if he died at least know the story about him.

Anita's Diary!

July, 1961

Anita is happy because she is having some sort of communication with Oscar. Also she is trying to make herself look more beautiful for Oscar. During supper Anita, Mom, and Oscar's parents talked about how people don't use their full potential, and compared them to rice.

July 28, 1961

There have been many rallies, and the SIM are arrestying people and doing house-to- house searches because of this. Mr. Mancini are trying to look for Anita's and Mom's way out of the country. There were no more book deliveries because Tía Mari sent her kids to the beach because of the rallies, it's too dangerous. Mami and Anita are fighting again. They can't concentrate in anything and when theyu play cards Mami asks where is the Queen of hearts!

Before We Free #2

I think that this is making her more private to herlself because during the day she mostly only talks to her mom and Mr. and Mrs. Mancini. As well, not breathing oxygen coming directly from the trees and not seeing the world can be traumatizing. Also she got very depressed because she couldn't see her family. The good thing is that you start gaining more patience and strength because she had to wait until finally they were free. I certainly think I would get these effects, because everyone needs to socialize and run outside or change their environment. Maybe another unforseen effect could be like stop eating or loneliness. For example Anne Frank also had to live in hiding because Hitler was killing all the Jews. She suffered a lot too, and actually Anne and Anita both became "señoritas" in the stories. Anne had more space, but she didn't eat as well as Anita did. Also, Anne had to stay for a longer time hiding, but at least Anita got the wings to fly and reach freedom.
